Now to change the above editor to MS Word, do the following:
Go to transaction I18N(Internationalization).
Click on I18N Menu à I18N Customizing à I18N System Configuration (as shown in the screenshot below)
The following screen appears:
If you would like to use MS Word Editor in both Script and Smartforms, then check the both checkboxes as shown below:
Click on Activate.
The following popup appears (related to SAPScript Editor):
Click on Yes. Now the following popup appears (related to Smartforms Editor):
Click on Yes to proceed.

You can anytime revert to old editor by deactivation MS Word editor option using the transaction I18N.

Important Update: Please note that as of 7.40 Compilation 2 the following components are no longer delivered on the SAP GUI DVD:
- ECL Viewer 7.0
- Controls for the SAPscript Legacy Text Editor (when patchlevel 5 of SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 or a newer patch is installed this component is automatically removed unless you have added it explicitly).
If you require these components you can download them with the respective links below and add them to your existing NWSAPSetup installation server in order to create a complete SAP GUI installation package.
